Screw Pump Auger Replacements

Location: Kennebunk, Maine

Completion Date: December, 2009

This small project involved replacing 2 of 3 screw pump augers with new augers of a slightly larger diameter in order to increase waste water pumping capacity. Removal of grout fill from and modifications to the auger concrete channels was necessary to accommodate the increased auger diameter. The existing support pedestals, at the top of the augers to be replaced, required replacement due to a combination of deteriorated condition and poor suitability to accommodate the new auger mounts and motors. New top pedestals were designed to replace the existing pedestals, which were removed.
